David Weir was Pipe Sergeant of Bilston Glen Pipe Band and PS/PM of the Highland Transport Reg, RCT. He also participated in many solo events. David passed away peacefully at home, with Sylvia by his side, on 23rd November 2025, aged 74.Â
Funeral service at Mortonhall Crematorium, Main Chapel, on Tuesday, December 9th, 2025 at 10am, to which all family and friends are invited. Family flowers only please, but a collection will be taken on behalf of Marie Curie and The Cinnamon TrustÂ
Dave, beloved husband of Sylvia. Much loved dad to Iain and Mairi, loving father-in-law to Charlene and Kevin, devoted grandad to Isobella, Eilidh and Oliver, dear brother to Elizabeth, dearly loved brother-in-law and uncle to all his family.
