Ardrossan Highland Games

Always falling on the second Sunday in June, this year the date for the Ardrossan Highland Games is Sunday, June 8, 2025. The Games are held at the Memorial Playing Fields, Ardrossan, Ayrshire, KA22 8AP, and entries for the juvenile solo piping are open till June 3.

Ardrossan Highland Games has a number of events for Juvenile Solo Piping. If you want to enter please download the entry form here. 
 
The solo piping events are:
Event 1 – 13 Years & Under – March
Event 2 – 15 Years & Under – March, Strathspey & Rell
Event 3 – 15 Years & Under – Piobaireachd (Ground)
Event 4 – 18 Years & Under – March, Strathspey & Reel
Event 5 – 18 Years & Under – Piobaireachd
Event 6 – 18 Years & Under – Jig

Entry Fee – £5 per event

Rules & Information

• The draw will take place ONE WEEK before the competition
• The draw will be emailed out to competitors
• Due to an increase in the number of entrants we have had to put a maximum number of entries for each event. As a result of this we will only be allowing a maximum of 15 entries per event
• Entries close on Saturday 31st May
• Competitors CANNOT enter Events 3 & 5
• Competitors can only play up ONE age group
• Competitors playing in Events 4 & 6 play their Jig after M.S.R – Competitors can stop and re-tune after their M.S.R.
• We will try our best to accommodate competitors who are competing with pipe bands on the day
• Please send cheques as cash can easily be lost in the post

The fields are a short five minutes walk from Ardrossan South Beach train station, and the train journey from Glasgow Central is just a 40 minute ride down to the scenic Ayrshire coast.
