The Celtic Connection website says about the concert: “Glasgow based folk trio Assynt are former BBC Radio Scotland Young Musician of the Year finalists, Graham Mackenzie (fiddle) and David Shedden (pipes/whistles) alongside BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award winner Innes White (guitar/mandolin). Awarded ‘Up and Coming Artist of the Year’ at the 2018 MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards, Assynt are a band rooted in the great fiddle, piping and Gaelic traditions of the Highlands of Scotland.”
