Highlighting concerts at Celtic Connections 2024 featuring bagpipes or piping-related music.  Project Smok share the concert platform with Gaelic singer Katie Macfarlane.

The Celtic Connection website says about Project Smok: “Project Smok bring their progressive take on Scottish traditional music to Saint Luke’s for an evening of infectious rhythm and instrumental virtuosity. This neo-trad trio of BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2020, Ali Levack (pipes), Ewan Baird (bodhran) and Pablo Lafuente (guitar) are at their most comfortable pushing boundaries, making listeners stop and re-evaluate their musical expectations. Known for their ability to effortlessly blend trad music with contemporary new-age pop influences, Project Smok do away with any perceived limits of the genre from the first note.”
