  • ENTRY FEES Per competition:
    Grade 1 £16; Grade 2 £14; Grade 3 & Juv £12; Grade 4A, Nov A & Grade 4B, Nov B £10;
    Adult Drum Major £5; Juv Drum Major £3.
  • The contest will be run under the rules of the RSPBA
  • All bands and Drum Majors are expected to take part in the March Past [Weather permitting]
  • A band may play up one grade, only where time permits. Include intention to play up on entry form and appropriate tune selection.
  • Novice Juvenile Bands will be Static Star, if playing up normal marching rules apply.
  • Any band may be asked to play for the Drum Major contest.
  • All bands must register on the day at the RSPBA administration point.
  • Please note that photographs may be taken of winners by the promotor’s official press agent and also may be shown on RSPBA GWOS Facebook page.
  • All entry fees must be paid in full prior to contest draw
  • Please note all Drum Major entries must be received by the closing date. (Drum Major may be cancelled if not enough pre-entries)

DRAW FOR ORDER OF PLAY:
Sunday 28th April 2024 Draw will be posted on RSPBA website www.rspba.org and Branch Facebook Page.
CONTEST START TIME:
12.00noon approx.  (depending on entry numbers).
Drum Majors should report at 11.30am.

               

Grade 1 – Medley (5-7 Minutes – Own Choice)
Grade 2 – MSR (Own Choice)
Grade 3 – Medley (3-5 Minutes)
Juvenile – MSR
Grade 4A & Nov Juvenile A – MSR*
Grade 4B – 4 x 2 Parted Marches from the RSPBA list of prescribed tunes.
Nov Juvenile B (Static Start) – 4 x 2 Parted Marches from the RSPBA list of prescribed tunes.

* Grade 4A & Novice Juvenile A are require to play a MSR (1×4-parted March or 2×2-parted Marches, 1×4-parted Strathspey or 2×2-parted Strathspey, 1×4-parted Reel or 2×2-parted reel – all tunes to be from RSPBA list of prescribed tunes).
