Solo Piping Commences 8.30am
NO LATE ENTRIES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF EVENTS 71 & 72
All entries received by the closing date will receive one complimentary gate pass. All events, with the exception of Events 71 & 72 are conducted under the Rules of the Piping & Dancing Assn. of NZ. Rule 37 will apply. Dress as per Rule 19. Pipers may enter only in 2 grades, except Under 21 events & B Grade Piobaireachd can be additional events. Three competitors for all solo events or events are a demonstration. Wet weather venue Turakina School. All Competitors must wear their Competitor Numbers
All pipers must report to their Board Stewards prior to EACH EVENT or their right to compete may be forfeited. All Open & A Grade competitors must submit 3 tunes; B Grade & Under 21 Championships submit 2 tunes.
Piping competitors must present their current P&D Membership cards when collecting their Competitor Numbers with the exception of Veteran & Chanter classes. By entering this competition, I agree to hereby grant the Piping & Dancing Association of New Zealand and the Turakina Caledonian Society the right to use my name and image (photograph or video) in any media publication, website or Association publication.
Commence 1pm approx • Graded Set and Medley • Entries: $110 per band.
Bands to play appropriate music for the Set and Medley in their grade as prescribed in the New Zealand Pipe Bands Association contest rules. One board will be operated on a time schedule. Penalty points for lateness will apply. Dress: Uniform Band attire is to be worn. At the completion of the contest all bands are requested to participate in the Massed Band display. A representative from each band is required to report to the secretary on the day by 12.30pm.
Tuning areas are indicated on the Ground Plan. Wet Weather Venue: Turakina School Tennis Courts. Please notify Secretary of all cancellations. Please display the Solo Piping & Drumming schedule on your Band notice board and pass a copy on to all tutors.
18 & Under Youth Pipe Band Competition • Entry $25.00 per band
Music must be six repeated measures of March-time music. Minimum playing numbers are four pipers, one side drummer and one tenor or bass drummer. Other requirements are as for the National Juvenile Contest Guidelines. Should you require further information please contact the Games Secretary.
