The National Piping Centre today launches a new website.
The website – www.bagpipe.news is a free news magazine which aims to include daily content for the piping world. The website will be a separate entity to the centre’s current website which exists to promote the organisation’s tuition and hospitality services.
Roddy MacLeod, Principal of The National Piping Centre said: “This new venture is a logical step for our organisation and we feel the timing is right. Our new website will contain news, features, blogs … everything you’d expect from a platform such as this. We are confident our readership figures will rise significantly and quickly. “
“Our ethos is to make bagpipe.news entirely accessible for everyone. There is no paywall nor is there a subscription element. We ask readers to support our advertisers, and, indeed, ourselves – The National Piping Centre is, of course, a registered charity whose aims are simply to promote and encourage the study of the music and history the Great Highland Bagpipe.”
