The concert displayed the piping repertoire of the Undergraduate students from all years of the course, and there was a fantastic version of the classic Hard Times, written by Stephen Foster in 1874 and sung by Cameron Barnes who is pictured below. Cameron made the song his own – and I loved his voice, which reminded me of Van Morrison – but with a strong Scottish accent!

Malin Lewis played a short set on smallpipes through various effect pedals and featured the Lindsay System chanter which has a range of two octaves.
