Springbank reaches 20 years

The Springbank Invitational this year marks 20 years since the first competition was held. The inaugural event was held as a celebration of the Royal Burgh of Campbeltown, Scotland’s tercentenary and has taken place annually since.

For many years the competition was held in the town’s Argyll Arms but in recent years has settled on the Seafield Hotel. This year’s competition will be held there on September 14, commencing at 10.00am.

The nine pipers who have been invited to compete are:
