Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, the following Irish Pipe Band Association (IPBA) events have been postponed:
Saturday, March 21:
National Executive Council Meeting of the IPBA at Great National Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh, Co Tipperary.
Sunday, March 22:
Munster Solo Championships at Courtenay Boys Primary School, Newcastle West, Co Limerick.
Saturday, March 28:
New Ross & District Pipe Band and Celtic Weave Concert, New Ross, Co Wexford.
Saturday, April 18:
Pan Celtic Solos / South East Solo Championships at Carlow College.
Saturday, April 5:
Stewards & Compilers Course at the Munster branch meeting.
Saturday, May 2:
Leinster Pipe Band Championships at Swords Castle. This will be rescheduled for August 1, 2020
Meanwhile, back in Scotland, the RSPBA has confirmed more pipe band competitions and highland games have been cancelled:
• Ardrossan;
• Strathmore
• Helensburgh
• Dunbar
• Innerleithen
• Edinburgh.
