Organisers of the Argyllshire Gathering and Northern Meeting advise that entries for next year’s competitions can now be submitted online at their respective websites.

Entries for the Open competitions (Gold Medal, Silver Medal and March, Strathspey and Reel A and B) must be lodged according to the published timetable.

January 30 is the critical date each year for requesting a ruling on eligibility from the Joint Committee and, as ever, late entries will not be accepted. Successful applicants will be contacted by email by the end of March 2021.

The 2022 Northern Meeting will take place on September 1 and 2. The Argyllshire Gathering hasn’t yet confirmed the date of its competitions but it is expect to be in the week before Inverness.

Organisers of next year’s piping tribute planned to mark the Queen’s platinum jubilee have changed the time when pipers are asked to play Stuart Liddell’s 6/8 march composed for the event.

The original time was simply as the sun set on June 2 but due to worldwide media interest, this has now been changed to 9.45pm.

Pipers can register their participation HERE.
