The Bagpipe Shop, based within The National Piping Centre, is looking to recruit a new assistant. They are looking for someone dynamic and friendly to join a small team to assist the current staff in the day to day running of the retail operation. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and learn more about retail and traditional music, especially bagpipes.
Outline of role:
- Delivering excellent customer service within the shop and front desk
- Switchboard operator
- Assisting with fulfilling online orders
- Supporting the team to achieve targets
- Ensuring store presentation is of a high standard at all times
A sales assistant would ideally have the following:
- Customer service experience
- Confident and clear communication skills
- Enjoy working with the public
- Flexible to work shifts including evenings and weekends
- Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team Â
- Knowledge of piping (desirable)
- An interest in traditional music (desirable)
Hours per week: Up to 35 hours
Rate of pay: Competitive – above National Living Wage
