Pipe makers, Hamish and Fin Moore, have launched a fundraising page on Indiegogo to make an album featuring some of the finest Scottish smallpipers playing Moore pipes in the key of C. There are 59 days left on the project, but it has already achieved the flexible goal of £10,000 with a large part of the money coming from the sale of two sets of Moore pipes in C at £3,800 each.

There are plenty more smaller perks available if you want to support the project, and the link to the fundraising page can be found here. Extra funds raised through this campaign will be put towards a third album in the future.

There is a top line-up of musicians listed for the album project, titled The Piper and the Maker II: Celebrating C Pipes, including Allan MacDonald, Angus MacKenzie, Brìghde Chaimbeul, Calum Alex MacMillan, Gary West, Margaret Stewart with Ewen Henderson, Ross Ainslie, Seonaidh MacIntyre, and Steve Byrne.

The album is a follow up to a recording released by Greentrax in 2004, The Piper & The Maker, which was recorded live in Pitlochry Town Hall in October 2003 to an enthusiastic sell-out audience. All the pipes played in the concert were made by Hamish and Fin Moore. The original album is available here.
