Solo piping entries for the Newton Stewart & Minnigaff Traditional Music and Dance Festival will be accepted until July 1. The competition will take place on Saturday, July 9. The festival is held in the adjoining towns of Newton Stewart and Minnigaff, separated by the River Cree in the Wigtownshire region of Dumfries & Galloway in South West Scotland.

Only 28 miles from the ferry terminal at Cairnryan which runs daily services from/to Belfast, just 81 miles south of Glasgow and only 86 miles west of the M6 from Gretna Green, on the edge of Galloway Forest Park at the foot of the Galloway Hills.

The solo piping will take place at Minnigaff Primary School. Registration will open at 9.30 with the competition commencing at 10.30am.

C. 14 & Under – 4 Parted March (any time sig)
D. 18 & Under – March/Strathspey/Reel
E. 18 & Under – Hornpipe & Jig
