The 45th annual Georgetown Highland Games were held, Saturday, June 11 in the town about a 40 minutes drive west of the city of Toronto. Weather was fine with clear skies and a temperature around 23 degrees at mid-day.

This contest kicked off the Ontario games season. There was a big crowd on hand to support the games. The Grade 1 band, 78th Highlanders (Halifax Citadel) Pipe band travelled over 1800 kilometres to participate in the event.
