The Glasgow Uist and Barra Association announced the overall winner of their 2023 as Craig Sutherland, winning the Charles Hepburn Rose Bowl. The competition took place yesterday, March 4, in The National Piping Centre at McPhater Street.

The GUABA announcement on social media last night said: “Well done to all competitors today at our Annual Piping Competition at The National Piping Centre. The audience were treated to 10 fantastic pipers in our Pìobaireachd, MSR and Hornpipe and Jig competitions.

“Pictured here is Craig Sutherland, winner of the pìobaireachd competition and overall winner of the whole day. Finlay Johnston winner of the MSR competition and Angus D MacColl winner of the Hornpipe and Jig competition. Thank you to all the pipers who made the day a great success.”
