The Scottish Schools Pipes and Drums Trust is interested in supporting careers for pipers and drummers, and has offered paid internships to help a snare drummer and piper on their way to becoming qualified instructors.
The internships are based at Preston Lodge High School in East Lothian. Once two internship places are filled at PLHS, there may be options for internships in other areas depending on a number of factors. More information and downloadable documents are available at www.sspdt.org.uk

The Scottish Schools Pipes and Drums Trust is a national charity that helps expand and strengthen piping and drumming tuition and pipe bands in state schools. The Trust runs a free bagpipe loan scheme, awards grants, and organises the annual Scottish Schools Pipe Band Championships.
