There are only 24 hours left for Junior piping entries to the Carrick Lowland Gathering at Girvan, which which will be held on June 4 in the South Ayrshire town.
The Juvenile Solo Piping Competition is organised by Girvan Attractions and the contest starts at 12 noon. Entries close on May 30, and should be completed using the online entry form at Girvan Juvenile Solo Piping. There are three events:
• 13 years and under March only
• 15 years and under March, Strathspey and reel
• 18 years and under March, Strathspey and reel

Ardrossan Highland Games
Always falling on the second Sunday in June, this year the date for the Ardrossan Highland Games is Sunday, June 11, 2023. The Games are held at the Memorial Playing Fields, Ardrossan, Ayrshire, KA22 8AP, and entries for the juvenile solo piping are open till June 3.

Aberdeen Highland Games
Aberdeen Highland Games will be held on Sunday, June 18 at Hazlehead Park, Aberdeen. All competitors on the day must report to the competitors’ entry/check-in desk that will be open from 9:45am, the desk will close at 10.30am.
Enter BEFORE MIDNIGHT JUNE 8 and receive FREE ENTRY for all competitions. Later entries accepted until 24 hours before the start of the games. Those entering on the day will play first and play at the discretion of the Piping Convenor. Enquiries to jackandmarytaylor@gmail.com.
Events commence at 10.30am. The Solo piping Convener will give estimated event timings and playing order once the entry/check-in desk has closed.
