Bagpipe.news has been contacted by a reader looking to sell a set of full silver Highland Pipes made by Alastair Fletcher of Glasgow.
The blueprint for the pipes was taken from the late P/M Angus MacDonald’s set of Henderson pipes. The pipes are made from African Blackwood and feature hallmarked full silver mounts with engraved thistle decoration. The pipes come with a McCallum chanter with matching silver sole.
The pipes are described as mint condition with a commanding tone. The pipes can be seen this week at the Northern Meeting or in Inverness/Glasgow/Edinburgh by arrangement. The cost is £5,500 o.n.o.
