Callum Beaumont wins the 50th Glenfiddich Piping Championship

The 50th Glenfiddich Piping Championship took place today, October 28, 2023, and was won by Callum Beaumont for his first overall win of the title. Callum won the piobaireachd event in 2022 and it gave him the runner up prize, but this year his piobaireachd win seen him tie on points with Finlay Johnston and Alex Gandy, but win overall on a piobaireachd preference.

Roddy MacLeod received the Balvenie Medal, and it was presented by Ronnie McShannon and Murray Henderson. The Balvenie Medal was introduced the the Glenfiddich Piping Championship in 1985 and is awarded for “Services to Piping”. The full results are:
