The National Piping Centre will host three concerts in the first two weeks of March in the auditorium at McPhater Street, Cowcaddens. Tickets for all concerts can be bought through this page on the National Piping Centre website.

The first concert sees Routes String Quartet debut their new film, Routes: Concept, Creation & Capture, and then the quartet will perform live.

The film, by Paul Jennings, follows the unique creative process of the String Quartet as they created, developed and recorded their recent release, Arche. The screening and concert is on Thursday, March 7, with doors at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.

The second concert is an album launch from Fraser Fifield on March 9 with and 8pm start. Titled, One Great Circle,  it is a collaboration with Fraser and friends, fiddler Chris Stout and harpist Catriona McKay. You can hear a taster of the title track and buy the recording on bandcamp here.

On Thursday, March 14, a concert titled Accents: Voicing the Pipes will celebrate style and expression in the Scottish pipe repertoire, and be performed by Gary West, Fionnlagh Mac A Phiocair, Calum Kaye, Sarah Muir and fiddler Eryn Rae.Â
