Pitlochry Highland Games entries now open for 2024

Pitlochry Highland Games had a very successful Piobaireachd Competition last year, sponsored by the Piobaireachd Society who will be providing sponsorship again this year with a maximum of 20 competitors.

The Games take place on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the Recreation Ground, Ferry Road, PH16 5DZ. Gates open 0930 hrs and Games open 1015 hrs. All entries must be made via the website which is now open at this link.

Some information on the Games

  • No cover if wet. Wear Strong footwear
  • Plenty of food stalls around the Arena.
  • Highland Dancing Competitions – all day
  • Individual Piping Competitions – all day
  • Pipe Bands – Parade down Atholl Road from 11.30 hrs and Competition commences at 1.00 pm
  • Heavy Events – Tossing the Caber, Throwing the Hammer etc – these Events take place throughout the day
  • Track Events – Running, Cycling, Childrens Races etc
  • Tug o’War Championship – afternoon
  • Drum Majors Demo around 16.45hrs if time permits
  • Massed Bands around 4.30 – 5pm.
