It was a successful day for Willie McCallum making his first visit to Aboyne Games yesterday, August 3. He was overall champion with first in Piobaireachd, March, Hornpipe and Jig and second in Strathspey and Reel. The weather was perfect for pipes, and Willie’s pipe received particular praise.
The Under 18 Piobaireachd was won by 11 year old Larry Presslie from Aberdeen with Broughty Ferry’s Lachlan Rennie taking the MSR.
