Alan Bevan wins the R. G. Hardie & Co. Masters at Piping Live! 2024

Pipe Major of Simon Fraser University Pipe Band, Alan Bevan, was the winner of the R. G. Hardie & Co. Masters Solo Piping Competition on Monday, August 12 at Piping Live! 2024, placing third in both the piobaireachd and MSR events. The win gives Alan a place in the Glenfiddich Piping Championship in October of this year, and also an invite to the Sun Belt Invitational Competition in Florida.

Finlay Johnstone was the winner of the Piobaireachd event, and Willie McCallum won the MSR and is the first to be presented with the Willie Beveridge Memorial Trophy for the MSR event. The full results were:
