The 51st Glenfiddich Piping Championship took place today, October 26, 2024, at Blair Castle in Perthshire and was won by Callum Beaumont defending the title he won in 2023. Callum won the MSR event today and his third place in the piobaireachd gave him the overall win. Stuart Liddell won the Piobaireachd event playing The Unjust Incarceration.
Ian Duncan received the Balvenie Medal, and it was presented by Craig Muirhead and Helen Urquhart. The Balvenie Medal was introduced the the Glenfiddich Piping Championship in 1985 and is awarded for “Services to Piping”. The full results are:
