RAFO announces two job opportunities for UK citizens to work for the Band of the Royal Air Force of Oman for the following positions. Applicants should meet the following requirements:
CHIEF INSTRUCTOR
• Qualified Band Master (LRSM or equivalent)
• Current or former musician of a British Military Band
• Ability to design and implement training programmes for the overall development of the band
• Working knowledge of all band instruments
• Proficiency in music theory instruction
• Competent keyboard skills
• Working knowledge of band arranging and composition skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage musicians of different abilities
PIPE DRUM INSTRUCTOR
• Internationally recognised pipe drum qualification
• Proven ability to train students across all levels of pipe drum grades, both theoretical and practical.
• Participated in World Championship at all levels
• Completion of a recognised Drum Major Course
• Previous experience training bands for local and international event
• SCQF level 6 in Pipe Drum instructing or equivalent
• Former or current member of a British military band
• Strong commitment to promoting excellence in pipe drumming
• Excellent communication skills and ability to inspire and motivate musicians
