Saint Thomas’ Episcopal School based in Houston Texas, is seeking a passionate and dependable full-time Drumming Instructor to join their team. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, teaching all levels of pipe band drumming including beginners. This position will require an individual who is able to handle a wide range of responsibilities including administrative tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Coordinate daily band practices after school.
- Attend and organize band performances.
- Chaperone Scottish Arts sponsored trips and any additional performance both during and outside regular school hours.
- Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
- Follow the professional code and policies of the school and conduct oneself in a way that promotes the mission of the school.
- Utilize Google Suite, in particular Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets.
- Attend all faculty and staff meetings and required special events (e.g., open houses, Spaghetti Supper, Fall Fair).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education / Certification: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years related work experience
- Is competing or has competed with a grade 1 or 2 RSPBA graded band within the last 5 years.
Required Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the overall operation of a pipe band program.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Docs.
- Proficient in reading and writing pipe band drumming music, with a general understanding of music theory.
- Proficiency in tuning and maintenance of pipe band drums.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation is dependent upon experience and degree obtained.
