Scottish musicians Donald WG Lindsay and Alasdair Roberts, friends for thirty years, are embarked on their first duo tour in autumn 2024. Known for their unorthodox musical paths, they will present a blend of traditional and original music, combining pipe tunes and guitar with a selection of songs.
Their concert at Celtic Connections takes place in the National Piping Centre, 7.30pm, on Friday, January 31, 2025. Tickets can be bought through this link
Their repertoire spans Scottish fiddle, Highland piping, Hungarian and Romanian influences, and Northumbrian tunes. Songs include rare ballads, Scots lyrical pieces, and original compositions. Audiences can expect an evening filled with rich, historical Scottish music, celebrating the artistry and long-standing friendship of these two unconventional musicians.
