The Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) is recruiting an External Verifier for their NPA/PDA Scottish Bagpipes & Pipe Band Drumming qualifications. Applications close on June 15, 2025, and the link to apply is below.
Applicants will be expected to have relevant experience and knowledge of the courses to be verified and have knowledge and understanding of the sector. In addition, applicants must be currently delivering or have recently delivered these courses or closely related courses.
An External Verifier is responsible for external verification and qualification approval activities under the conditions, timescales and arrangements set by SQA. The prime role is to participate in verification of qualifications in the subject area to ensure that national standards are maintained.
Successful applicants must hold or be prepared to work towards the relevant External Verifier Learning & Development unit as this is an SQA requirement.
