The National Piping Centre and William Grant Foundation are delighted to present the 52nd Annual Glenfiddich Piping Championship, live from Blair Castle in Perthshire, from 10am on Saturday 25th October 2025.
The Glenfiddich Piping Championship was established in 1974 to inspire the world’s finest individual pipers and to seek the best overall exponents of ceòl mòr (the great music) and ceòl beag (light music).
Each year, 10 competitors qualify to play at this prestigious event through placing in one of a series of qualifying events throughout the season.

The qualifying events for 2025 are still ongoing, so the full line up of competitors and judges will be announced in mid-September once this process has been completed and all players have accepted their invitation to take part.
Tickets for this fantastic event are now on sale, whether you can attend inperson or watch on livestream.
In person tickets are: £20 adult / £15 concession (Over 65 + U 18), with livestream tickets costing £15, which will allow you to watch back the full day until Friday 28th November.
The Pipers’ Ceilidh will also return for 2025 at the Atholl Palace hotel. This event is a Black Tie dinner for the pipers and guests, and tickets to the event are available as a package with your day ticket – £90 adult / £85 Over 65.
This event includes a sparkling wine on arrival, a 3 course meal with wine on the table, a fantastic Ceilidh from Marie Fielding and Friends and perhaps a very special performance. It also includes drinks from the bar (until tab is spent in total). This is new format this year, embracing the feel of a black tie event after a spectacular day of music.
The Glenfiddich team have also worked with the Atholl Palace hotel to arrange a special rate for a stay over the Glenfiddich weekend. So if you would like to stay at the Atholl Palace to make the most of this fantastic weekend, you can book your stay now. There are only a limited number of these rooms, so book soon!
