The European Pipe Band Championship took place on Saturday, August 9 in Perth, which is traditionally the date of the Perth Highland Games. There were 135 performances which was and increase of 12 on the Scottish Championships on July 26, and this could partly be attributed to overseas bands already in Scotland for the Worlds next Saturday, August 16.
Inveraray and District won the MSR and Medley making them European Champions and giving them their first major win of the season. The major spoils have been shared so far in 2025 with Field Marshal winning the Scottish Championships and St Laurence O’Toole winning the UK Championships.
