Appointment of Bradley Parker as pipe sergeant of Peoples Ford Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia

Peoples Ford Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band announced yesterday, August 21, 2025 the appointment of Bradley Parker as Pipe Sergeant.

Bradley (29) from Portavogie, Northern Ireland, was a member of Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band from 2014 – 2020, winning three Grade 1 World Championships amongst various other major championships. Bradley is currently head of the Piping & Drumming programme at the High School of Glasgow.

On the appointment, Pipe Major Calum Watson said: “I’m delighted Bradley has accepted the Pipe Sergeant’s role. His skills and experience will complement the existing leadership team within the band and I’m confident this will stand us in good stead as we prepare for the 2026 season.”

Bradley added: “I am extremely thrilled & humbled to take on the role of Pipe Sergeant for Peoples Ford Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia. I look forward to working with Calum and Kerr [McQuillan] in what is an exciting new era for the band.”

The band also wished Iain Simpson a happy retirement and thanked him for his service over the years. In particular, for the support he has gave to Calum Watson from his first chanter lesson right through to his first year as a Grade 1 Pipe Major.

The band now looking forward to preparing for the 2026 season under the new piping leadership.
