The next Stirling Piping Recital is arranged for Friday, March 6, 2026 at the King Robert Hotel in Stirling. The players are Ben Duncan and Iain Speirs, so we are destined for a seriously good night of Highland piping. The recital is pay at the door and only £10.00 entry. The first player will take to the stage at 7.30pm prompt.
I am also very pleased to announce the first Stirling Junior Piping Competition which will take place the following day, March 7, again at the King Robert Hotel who are extremely supportive in building a piping scene in my hometown.
The events for the day are listed below.
Event 1 – 13 & Under Chanter (March)
Event 2 – 13 & Under Chanter (Slow Air)
Event 3 – Under 18 Piobaireachd
Event 4 – Under 18 March
Event 5 – Under 18 Strathspey and Reel
Event 6 – Under 18 Jig

If any youngster and their parents would like to attend the recital, which I highly recommend, then stay over and compete on the Saturday, they should phone the King Robert Hotel directly who are offering a special B&B rate for that night.
