Alasdair Henderson wins the R. G. Hardie & Co. Masters at Piping Live!

Pipe Sergeant Alasdair Henderson of Inveraray & District Pipe Band won the R. G. Hardie & Co. Masters Solo Piping Competition on Sunday evening, August 9 at Piping Live! 2026, winning the piobaireachd event and placing second in the MSR. The win gives Alasdair a place in the Glenfiddich Piping Championship in October of this year.

Connor Sinclair was the winner of the MSR, and was the third recipient of the Willie Beveridge Memorial Trophy.

After the MSR competition the audience were treated to a mini recital from Charlie Mack, who was the overall Junior Champion Piper at the NPC contest in February 2026.
