Bobby Allen from North Lanarkshire maintained his excellent competitive form by winning the Under 18 piping competition at Kingdom Thistle at Lochgelly High School.
Last weekend, the 14-year-old, who recently joined Shotts & Dykehead Caledonia, swept the boards at Kintyre Piping Society’s Junior competition.
It was also a good day for young Craig Lawrie of St Lawrence O’Toole Pipe Band. Craig won the Open drumming as well as the World Solo Drumming Championships qualifier event.
This was the tenth year of the Fife junior solo competition organised by Kingdom Thistle Pipe Band Supplies.
