The North of Scotland branch of the RSPBA held its annual pipe band competition at Mintlaw Gala at the Aberdeenshire town’s Pavilion Park yesterday.
The results were:
Grade 1 – 1. Buchan Peterson; 2. Portlethen & District.
Grade 2 – 1. Portlethen and District; 2. Buchan Peterson.
Grade 3 – 1. Fraserburgh Royal British Legion, 4A; 2. R.A.F. Lossiemouth, 4B.
Grade 4a – Culter and District, 4B; 2. Elgin and District; 3. Towie and District, 4B (piping preference); 3. R.A.F. Lossiemouth; 4. Fraserburgh Royal British Legion.
Grade 4b – Culter and District; 2. Oldmeldrum Royal British Legion; 3. Towie and District; 4. Aberdeenshire Schools, Nov B (piping preference); 5. Grampian District Pipes and Drums; 6. Ellon and District Royal British Legion.
