Would your pipe band benefit from having some practice facilities in Glasgow in the run up to the World Pipe Band Championships? The National Piping Centre Otago Street is offering bands free space at the premises each day from Monday 12 to Friday 16 on a first come, first served basis.
The premises, the former College of Piping building, is located in the west end of Glasgow, only two stops on the underground from the city centre.
A spokesman said: “There is plenty of first-class practice space available in the building. Bands can reserve a time for a 1.5 hour practice session from 10.00am-11.30am then 12noon-13.30pm. There is no cost although a donation is encouraged.”
The venue is also handy for events at Piping Live!, some of which take place there.
