The NYPBoS at its Thunderstruck concert in 2017

The National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland (NYPBoS) today announces its next major concert, which will take place early next year.

‘Decade’ celebrates the 10th year that the current director, Alisdair McLaren has spent with the band. The Australian’s tenure has seen the project grow to become the leading youth piping ensemble in the country. It now boasts a Development Band that feeds its senior band.

The concert will see both bands perform at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh on Saturday, February 8, 2020.

Tickets are available via Ticketweb now.

The band last appeared at the Corn Exchange in early 2018. Here is a clip from the show:

The NYPBoS was launched in 2002 by The National Piping Centre. In recent years it has performed all over Scotland and also in Spain, Switzerland, China, Italy, Germany, Mexico and Northern Ireland.

Applications to join can be submitted for the 2020/2021 project now.
