Alex Dalziel, the Chief Steward for the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association, died on Monday. He was 72.

Alex took ill at the Scottish Schools Pipe Band Championship last Sunday.

As Chief Steward, Alex and his team displayed a light but firm touch at pipe band competitions and championships. Both he and wife, Wilma were made honorary life members of the RSPBA at the 2017 AGM. We extend our condolences to Alex’s family and friends.
