Piping Live! 2022 launched yesterday, May 25, with an exciting programme of concerts and events for this year’s festival. Pipe Idol is long established as one of the festival’s flagship events and has been a platform for young pipers showcase their prodigious talents. Many of these young pipers have gone on to have successful careers in the professional piping circuit, and some such as Connor Sinclair who was Pipe Idol 2012, have gone to the very top of the solo piping world winning Gold Medals and competing at the Glenfiddich.

To enter Pipe Idol 2022, the festival are inviting young pipers under the age of 21 to send a recording of themselves playing a Hornpipe, a Jig and an MSR to marketing@thepipingcentre.co.uk along with your name, age, date of birth and which country you are from. The deadline for entries is Friday, June 10. The easiest way to submit a video is to add it as an unlisted youtube video and email the link as part of your submission, or they can be sent with dropbox or wetransfer.
