Project Smok are a trio who push the boundaries of traditional music, and are led by the pipes and whistles of the 2020 BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year, Ali Levack. The other two members are Ewan Baird on bodhran and Pablo Lafuente on guitars. Since their formation in 2017 the group have become known of their ability to merge their traditional sounds with more contemporary genres.
Their debut album, Bayview was premiered in front of a capacity crowd in the Old Fruitmarket at at Celtic Connections 2020, and you can catch them again on Friday, January 20 in SWG3 in Glasgow.
