Since 2017, the Crest of Gordon Pipe Band, based in Bremen, Germany has been organising the one of the largest solo and quintet competitions in Europe – Bagpipe Association of Germany’s winter competition. This year’s competition was held last weekend, January 21 and 22, and had 135 solo entries and 15 quintett bands enter.
