The photo above is somewhat misleading as it was a wet day yesterday in Oban, August 24, for the Argyllshire Gathering 2023. The weather wasn’t kind to the pipers in the light music competitions out in the fresh air of Mossfield Park.

However the rain didn’t stop young Cameron Bonar, 15, from British Columbia who added the Intermediate MSR title to last Thursday’s accolade of Pipe Idol winner at Piping Live! 2023. The full results were as follows:
