Pipe Idol competitors announced for Piping Live 2024

With one month to go before the action starts at Piping Live 2024, it is time to get your tickets for the events which sell out every year. The Pipe Idol Grand final is always a hot ticket event, and the 16 competitors who will compete in the four heats have been announced.

In Heat One on Monday, August 12, these four pipers will compete for a place in Thursday’s Grand Final: Nicholas Shelburn, Australia; Liam Forrest, Canada; Alex Pavlovic, USA; and MacKenzie Fraser, Scotland.

In Heat Two on Tuesday, August 13, the competitors will be: Andrew Pattison, Scotland; Lewis Maxwell, Scotland; Eala McElhinney, Scotland; and Thomas Fallon, Scotland.

In Heat Three on Wednesday, August 14, the competitors will be: Camron MacPhail, Scotland; Grace Kelman, Scotland; Jamie Brownlie, Scotland; and Reece Doherty, Northern Ireland.

In Heat Four on Thursday, August 15, the competitors will be: Leland Reid, USA; Catriona Norman, Scotland; Bobby Allen, Scotland; and Darran Forrest, Canada.

All Pipe Idol heats take place in the Piping Live! Street Cafe starting at 3pm, with free entry – but arrive early if you want a seat! The Grand Final takes place on Thursday, August 15, in the NPC auditorium with a 5pm start.
