Solo piping results from Mallaig and Morar Highland Games

The Mallaig & Morar Highland Games took place on Sunday, August 4. Towards the end of the day, as rain threatened, Sandy Cameron lifted the John Gillies, Bourblach Memorial Cup for the Adult Piobaireachd competition, competing with 15 other high-quality pipers. 

Sandy Cameron was a previous winner of the 18 and under piping. That award this year went to Seonaidh Forrest from Skye, sweeping the boards, lifting the MacBrayne Cup, The Archie Gillies Memorial Trophy and The Simon MacKinnon Memorial Trophy – Overall winner 18 and under section.

Overall winner and winner of The Alasdair FB Roberts Memorial Quaich – Decker Forrest.  Decker won the Strathspey and Reel as well as the Hornpipe and Jig, while Finlay Cameron won the March.
