The sun was shining in Glasgow large crowds gathered in Buchanan Street to enjoy the music of Scotch College Pipe Band from Victoria, Australia. With Mark Saul as the Head of Pipes and Drums at Scotch College, you could hear his influence coming through in the cutting-edge musical selections.

Inside the National Piping Centre, Matt MacIsaac won the Gordon Duncan Memorial Recital Challenge, and Reece Doherty from Northern Ireland won the fiercely contested Heat 3 of Pipe Idol and goes into today’s Grand Final. Congratulation to the CLASP 23/24 league winners, Eddie Boland G1, John Nevans G2, Adam Aitchison G3 and Steve Langford G4, who received their handsome medals yesterday in the bustling Piping Live! Street Cafe.
