Matt MacIsaac, a native of Cape Breton who now lives in Ontario, won this year’s Glengarry Cup before a large crowd at the Royal Canadian Air Force Officers’ Mess in downtown Ottawa, Ontario.

The Glengarry Cup is an invitational own-choice MSR contest run by the Ottawa branch of the Pipers’ and Pipe Band Society of Ontario. The trophy was donated to the branch in 1987 by the Glengarry Pipe Band of Maxville, Ontario. Last year’s competition was cancelled due to an ice storm.

Glengarry Cup (8 competed) – 1. Matt MacIsaac (John MacDonald’s Welcome to South Uist, Tulloch Gorm, Broadford Bay); 2. Jacob Dicker (Invergordon’s Welcome to Queen Elizabeth II, Caledonian Society of London, Thomson’s Dirk); 3. Andrea Boyd (David Ross, Lady MacKenzie of Gairloch, Fiona MacLeod); 4. Tyler Bridge (Pipe Major Tyrone Heade, Blair Drummond, The Sheepwife); 5. Kaitlin Kimove (Edinburgh City Police Pipe Band, Catlodge, Miss Proud).

Also competing but not in the prizes: Ed Bush Alan Clark and Brendan Culver.

The competition was judged by Michael Grey.
