Helensburgh pipe band competition took place yesterday (23rd) amid dull but warm conditions. The results were:
Grade 1 – 1. Johnstone Pipe Band.
Grade 2 – 1. Uddingston Strathclyde (G2); 2. Johnstone Pipe Band (G3); 3. Beinn An Turic Kintyre Pipe Band.
Grade 3 – 1. Johnstone Pipe Band (G3); 2. Beinn An Turic Kintyre; 3. Mid-Argyll Pipe Band; 4. Rothesay & District; 5. Lower Clyde Pipes and Drums; 6. Kilbarchan.
Juvenile – 1. Tobermory High School.
Grade 4A – 1. Mid-Argyll Pipe Band; 2. Renfrewshire Schools Pipe Band, NJ B; 3. Lower Clyde Pipes and Drums; 4. Scotch College Pipes and Drums, NJ A; 5. Rothesay & District; 6. Kintyre Schools, NJ B.
