As expected, given yesterday’s news that both the 2020 World Pipe Band Championships and Piping Live! have been cancelled, Inveraray & District Pipe Band’s Wednesday night pipe concert has also been cancelled.
A statement from promoters, the Glasgow Skye Association Pipe Band said: “We regret that we have also taken the decision to reschedule our Pre-Worlds concert featuring Inveraray & District Pipe Band. This is without question the correct decision as the health and well being of everyone takes precedence over anything else.
“We feel particularly sad for Inveraray who were gearing up for a fabulous concert. This year’s event was the quickest selling concert we have ever hosted so I am sure everyone will be disappointed that we are unable to bring this to the Royal Concert Hall (RCH) this year.
“I am delighted to announce however that the band will headline the rescheduled event in August 2021.”
