The deadline is approaching for entries to the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association’s 6/8 march composing competition.
The competition is being held to mark the RSPBA’s 90th anniversary.
The competition is for juvenile pipers and drummers. Entry is open to those who through their pipe band have registered with the RSPBA for this season. The competition also encompasses a Band Combined entry as many bands are continuing to practice using videoconference technology. A spokesman said: “The entry should comprise of the Melody and Scores for the Pipes, Side Drums, one Bass drum and up to two Tenor drums.”
Entries must be submitted by e-mail to pbc.competition@rspba.org. The closing date for entries is June 13.
